By three o’clock today, I will be touching down in Salt Lake City for the grandaddy of all blogging conferences…it’s time for Alt Summit! You may recall, I attended a one-day mini version of Alt Summit in NYC last August. Lots of cool stuff went down there, like this and this. But, from what I hear, that was just a mere teaser of what lies in store at the big showdown this week. Three days of educational sessions, inspirational speakers, festive gatherings, and lots of new friends to be made. There’s a reason this conference sold out in 30 minutes!! I seriously scored getting my ticket just in the nick of time.
The attendee list is the “who’s who” of well-known bloggers, and it’s just a little intimidating for a newbie, such as myself. But, thankfully, I won’t have to go at it alone, since Lulu the Baker and The Proper Pinwheel dreamed up the brilliant idea to put together a little welcome gathering for all of us Alt rookies…so I will be making my first pit stop at The Hello Social to meet these lovely gals and many other fellow newbies.
Oh, and I owe a special thanks to my sweet friends, Bobi and Chris, who are kindly letting me crash in their guest room for the next three nights. For some reason (that makes no sense to me), Alt is held over the same week as Sundance, and hotels are sliiiiiiiim pickin’s! So thankful for gracious friends!
